Guilds Guide — Guild Quests, Medals, Skill Tree, Guild Shop & Guild Egg

Progression

How Guilds V1 works in Grow a Chicken Fighter — create or join a guild, complete Guild Quests for Guild Medals, level the Guild Skill Tree for permanent boosts, and spend Medals in the Guild Shop on the Guild Egg (5 new chickens incl. the Secret Guildmaster Hen).

Guilds V1 went live with the September 26, 2026 patch — the biggest new progression system since the Arena. The official in-game event page runs September 26 – October 3 (“Team up with friends in the new Guilds!”) and confirms the full loop: daily check-ins, Guild Quests, Guild Medals, a Guild Skill Tree with permanent boosts, and a Guild Shop that sells eggs, boosts, Charm Dust, and the new Guild Egg with 5 new chickens. A follow-up update window is already on the event page for October 3 – October 10 — and it slipped: on October 3 the developers announced the next update was pushed back one more week, saying they are “working on something BIG, something that will really change the game” and would rather delay than ship it rushed (no feature list or date). Expect this system to be expanded when that lands.

Unlike earlier updates, the developers posted no patch notes on Discord for this release — everything mechanical below comes from the official event page (quoted) or from player reports in the official Discord (labeled community-reported, September 26–29, 2026).

Quick Summary

  1. Create or join a guild in-game (community reports: max 5 members).
  2. Check in daily and complete Guild Quests to earn Guild Medals.
  3. Put contributions into the Guild Skill Tree — permanent boosts for every member.
  4. Spend Medals in the Guild Shop — the headline item is the Guild Egg (community-reported 3,000 Medals each), whose top hatch is the Secret Guildmaster Hen, reported by players as the strongest chicken in the game right now.

Creating or Joining a Guild

Guilds are created in-game; a fresh guild gets an ID in the format G-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX that you can share so others can find you.

The hard limit players keep running into: guilds cap at 5 members (multiple Discord reports, September 26–29; helpers have relayed requests to raise it). With a 5-member cap, every member matters — an active guild of five pulls roughly 5x the medals of a half-idle one, and the community math for maxing the system assumes all five contribute daily.

Two launch-week bugs to know about: some players could not name or search guilds at launch (a rejoin fixed it per staff), and the guild panel showed 0 contribution for some members — confirmed as a visual glitch.

Guild Quests — Your Medal Engine

The official event page: “Check in daily, complete Guild Quests, earn Guild Medals, and work together to level up your Guild.”

Player reports break the quests into three refresh tiers:

Quest type Refresh Pays
Hourly quests Every hour Medals only
Daily quests Daily reset Medals + contribution stars
Weekly quests Weekly reset (Monday, per community) Medals + contribution stars

Practical read: the hourly quests are your grind loop, but the daily and weekly quests are the ones that move the guild forward — they pay the contribution that levels the skill tree. If you play at all, clear the daily set; if you care about Guildmaster Hen, plan around the weekly reset.

One caveat: whether Guild Medals and Arena Medals are the same currency is not clearly documented. The Arena has paid out Medals since the September 5 update, and players report funding Guild Shop purchases with Arena-grinding income, but the official text only says Guild Quests “earn Guild Medals”. Treat the pools as possibly shared — unconfirmed.

The Guild Skill Tree — Permanent Boosts

Official: “Contribute to the Guild Skill Tree to unlock permanent boosts.”

Community-reported mechanics (September 26–29):

  • Guild level is driven by skill-tree upgrades — each node costs roughly 150 contributions.
  • The tree also gates Guild Shop content; some unlocks need a further 250 RP on top of levels.
  • Max level observed: 20 (a tester guild hit it within days — expect normal guilds to take weeks).
  • Bonus examples players posted: +1 DMG per level and +2% Corn-type production boosts. Exact per-level values are not published.
  • One community estimate puts a fully leveled guild at 800,000+ Medals — for a full, active 5-member squad that is still measured in weeks, so treat the Guild Egg as the first goal and the deep tree as a long-term project.

The Guild Shop & The Guild Egg

Official: “Spend your Guild Medals on eggs, boosts, Charm Dust, and the brand-new Guild Egg, featuring 5 new chickens to collect!”

What players have documented so far:

  • Guild Egg — 3,000 Medals each (community-reported). The Guild Supply skill raises the daily purchase limit.
  • Odds are not officially published. Community reports put the Secret Guildmaster Hen at roughly 0.5% per hatch, and purchase limits at around 2 eggs per week for a guild grinding hard — “only 1 member can get it per week” in practice.
  • The shop also sells Ascension Eggs (community reports), a solid sink while you save for the Guild Egg.

Guildmaster Hen matters for the meta: players report it as the strongest chicken in the game (reported ~2.51x HP / ~2.52x ATK multipliers, unverified), overtaking even the discontinued T-Rex. If your guild is deciding who gets the first egg, pick your best PvP/PIT carrier — that chicken defines your Arena season.

A Simple Weekly Plan

  1. Join a full, active guild — the 5-member cap makes dead weight expensive; guild-hop early if your squad is idle.
  2. Daily: check in, clear daily quests, finish hourly quests while you play your normal PIT/Tower loop.
  3. Skill tree first, egg second: put early contributions into the nodes that unlock Guild Shop content, then decide as a guild whether you are rushing Guild Eggs (Guildmaster Hen race) or stacking permanent boosts.
  4. Weekly (reset day): clear the weekly quest set before spending anything, and agree on egg order — 3,000 Medals per egg means the guild funds roughly one hunter at a time.
  5. Do not leave casually: community reports say contributions stay with the old guild and Medals do not refund when you leave — only your weekly contribution record follows you. Players already abuse this with “join, dump points, leave” rotations; do not be on the losing end of one.

Known Issues (Launch Week)

  • Hourly quests sometimes did not reset on schedule (reported 2026-09-26).
  • Guild panel showed 0 contribution for some members — visual glitch.
  • A guild reset from level 5 back to level 1 was reported on 2026-09-29; support responses have been case-by-case.
  • A rumored “guild level steal” exploit circulates in chat — unconfirmed; keep your guild invite-only and do not hand out officer powers blindly.

What Guilds V1 Does Not Have (Yet)

No guild chat, no guild wars, no shared bosses, and no new map area — the community is asking for all four, and the October 3–10 update window on the event page is the natural slot. The October 3 delay announcement (see the updates page) suggests that patch is the one being held back, so this page will be updated as it drops.
